Precision Tune-Up Includes: Air Handler
- Inspect / tighten all electrical connections
- Compare capacitor MFD against manufacturer specs
- Evaluate evaporator coil and air handler cabinet
- Measure and record amperage readings of blower motor
- Check blower wheel for build up and proper balance
- Inspect drain pan and treat with antibacterial pan treatment
- Clear condensate drain with shop vacuum or nitrogen
- Verify thermostat mounting, operation, and accuracy
- Inspect heat strip components and safeties
- Measure and record amperage from electric heat strip
- Confirm float switch operation
- Wash or replace air filter (provided by customer)
- Take temperature spilt to help system efficiency
Condenser
- Measure and record amperage of condenser fan motor
- Lubricate motor and visually check condenser fan blade for damage
- Check refrigerant pressures and verify proper heat exchange
- Compare compressor amperage readings with manufacturers specs
- Take MFD readings on capacitors and compare with manufacturers specs
- Inspect all electrical components for damage (Contactors, defrost boards, etc)
- Check all valves, caps, and cores for refrigerant leaks
- Visually inspect condenser coil and clean if necessary
- Clean equipment exteriors and remove debris (leaves, dirt, etc)
- Take superheat and sub-cooling readings to verify charge is correct
- Inspect reversing valve, coil, and defrost board
- Verify operation and test defrost cycle
- Confirm operation of crank case heater
